Become a Secret Agent and Fight the Tobacco Industry

This is a sweet opportunity for kids that live in Ramsey County to go undercover and do compliance check to see if convenience stores are following the law. You get a FREE gift card just for participating!!

    

There are 2 different programs, both are for high school students in Ramsey County. The first is assesing convenience stories, the second is doing compliance checks in gas stations.  

Ramsey Tobacco Coalition is partnering with the following schools and organizations to assess the amount of point of sale advertising at tobacco retailers in Ramsey county.  We will be partnering with Tartan HS, North HS, White Bear Lake- North Campus, Higher Ground Academy,  Youth Express, Boys and Girls Club of Mt. Airy and West Side, Vietnamese Minnesota Association, and River of Life Foundation.

If you already participate in one of these places, be sure to ask about it or contact Katie and she can link you to the group.

North Suburban Tobacco Compliance Project is recruiting students to help with tobacco compliance checks of retailers in Ramsey County.  We are looking for students to try to go buy tobacco products with assistance of local law enforcement,  to make sure that stores are not selling to anyone under age.

GUIDELINES

*Must be 15-17 years old
*Are called on an as needed basis about 2-7 times a year. You can always turn down the opportunity if you are busy.  We work with your schedule!  Most checks are done on day's off of school, evenings and weekends.

*After every time you assist, you will receive a gift card.

*Training is provided
