created at: 2010/04/07

We are very proud to announce that our very own youth board member, Mariah Geiger won the Public Health Achievement Award from Dakota County Public Health for her outstanding work.

Mariah has been involved in public health work since 9th grade. She has been active in variety of different campaigns from Farmington smokefree parks, to Respect my Ride a program to discourage teens from driving in their car, to working to implement the MN Freedom to Breathe act. More recently she has an active member of the Farmington wellness policy committee work to get better foods in schools and get kids more active in the school day.

All this while being an award winning actress in her school theater, an excellent student, and an active member of the Catalyst youth board. We're very proud of all the things Mariah has achieved. Thanks for all your hard work!
